He was predeceased by: his parents, Jack Jones and Phoebe Jones; and his grandson Reese Jackson Jones. He is survived by: his wife Linda Lee Jones; his children, Lisa Jones Howard (Oscar Jr.) of Kinston, Patricia "Patti" Jones (Jeffrey) of Jones Co, Kelly Marie Jones of Kinston, Roger Clayton Jones (Cindy) of Snow Hill and Edward Jackson Jones of Santa Clara, CA; his grandchildren, Laura (Travis), Stormy (David), Emily, Jessica (Jordan), Megan (Blake), Leah (Jon), Anna, Alaina, Isabella, Jackson, Nathan, Viviana, Hunter, Julia, Alissa and Noah; his great grandchildren, Olivia, Sophie, Silas, Jackson, Dayton, Bellah, Rowan and Charlie; and his sister Roseann Jones (Gerald) of Jones Co.
