It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Dalton Garris Jr. of Kinston, North Carolina, who passed away on December 14, 2020, at the age of 65, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his wife Nellie Bryant Garris; and his parents, Raymond Hawkins and Dallas Jenkins Hawkins. He is survived by: his sons, Chris Garris (Deanne) of Farmville and Kevin Garris (Rachel) of Dover; his grandchildren, Christina Edwards (Richard) of Fountain and Brandon Garris of Farmville; his great grandchildren, Zoey Edwards and Lucas Edwards; his brother Donnie Garris (Ann) of Dover; and his pet Speedy.
