He is survived by: his wife Pamela Sutton; his children, David Sutton, Jr., San Antonio Platt and Mary D. Sutton; and his siblings, Dennis Sutton of Fayetteville, NC, Barbara Jean Jones, Evelyn D. Lawson of Kinston, NC and Joyce Marie of Kinston, NC. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren, and a host of family and friends.

Per the family's request, Masks are REQUIRED as well as social distancing.
