She was predeceased by: her husband James "Bill" Harper; her parents, Roger L. Sutton and May Harper Sutton; her brothers, William Kenneth Sutton and Michael Sutton Sr.; her sister-in-law Virginia Evans Sutton; her stepson James Douglas Harper; and her stepgrandson Billie Thurman Harper.
She is survived by: her daughter Christy Harper Moody (Lenny Mohr) of Richlands; her grandchildren, Ashton Moody of Greenville and Maylen Moody (Alex Vincent) of Kinston; her great grandchild Madalyn Blair Vincent; her brother Roger L. Sutton; her stepchildren, Steven Rex Harper (Debbie) of Ayden and Connie Harper Coley (Doug) of Ayden; her pet Chloe; and her sisters-in-law, Sue Boyette Sutton of Trenton and Shirley Roberson Sutton of New Bern. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
