He was predeceased by: his parents, Albert Kennedy and Rachael Tyndall Kennedy; and his sons, Kenneth Kennedy and Michael Kennedy. He is survived by: his wife Jean Jones Kennedy; his daughters, Amy Stroud (Greg) of Kinston and Kim Jackson (Tony) of Grifton; his grandchildren, Gregory Stroud III (Amber Potter), James Dillon, Ryan Dillon (Taylor Hawkins), Lindsey Dillon and Jodi Kennedy; his siblings, Ann, Sue, Della, David, Bobby Gene and Larry; and his cousin Allen Tyndall. He is also survived by several great-grandchildren.
