She was predeceased by: her husband Dennis L. Singleton; her parents, Carrie Jenkins Murphy Pritchard and William Edward Murphy; and her brother James Frederick Murphy (Beverly). She is survived by: her children, Bridgette Houston (Charles) of Kinston, Janine Mathis, Jamie Wilkes (Bill) of Snow Hill, Charlotte Coppage of Greenville and Dennis Singleton of Vista, CA.; and her grandchildren, Adam, Kyle, Jody Houston, Lisa Hays, Taylor, Sarah Mathis, Allison Wilkes Thomas, Candace Wilkes Griffin, Justin Wilkes, Jason, Lee Singleton, Christina Coppage Kendrick, David and Robbie Coppage. She is also survived by 23 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Bethel Free Will Baptist Church Children's Ministry.
