It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Glennie Herring Rumschlag (Kinston, North Carolina), born in Lenoir, North Carolina, who passed away on January 18, 2021, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Jimmie Deb Herring and Clemmie Pearl Braxton Herring; and her siblings, Harold Herring, Sr. and Virginia "Shorty" Herring Wade. She is survived by: her friends, Max, Hazel and Glennie; her son Elvin Herring (Sally Faye); her grandchildren, Stacy Herring (Dayna) and Sherry Smith (Beecher); her great grandchildren, Jessica, Cayce, Allyson and Alexandria; her brother Jimmie D. Herring (Angie); and her sister-in-law Annie Ruth Herring.
The family will receive friends at the cemetery immediately following the service, strictly adhering to social distancing guidelines. We respectfully request that guests attending wear face masks.
