He was predeceased by: his wife Alice Ruth Byrd Rhodes; his parents, Alex Ander Rhodes and Etta Hardin Rhodes; and his sister Ann Driggers (Eddie) of Proctorville. He is survived by: his children, Jackie Rhodes of Kinston, Thomas Rhodes of Kinston, Gary Rhodes of Kinston and Kenneth Rhodes (Donna) of Kinston; and his grandchildren, Kim Williams (Kendal), Craig Cahoon (Leane), Jason Rhodes (Nicole), Brianna Rhodes, Justin Rhodes and Jacob Rhodes.
