He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Carrie Jenkins Murphy and William Edward Murphy; his spouse Beverly Gordon Moore Murphy; his daughter Laura Paige Murphy Stewart; his grandchildren, Skyler Paige Stewart (Reed Thomas Kimbrell) of Whittsett, NC., Gabriel Aaron Stewart of Wilmington, NC and Colin Reed Stewart; and his sister Edna Singleton of Kinston.
