He is survived by: his spouse Mildred Suggs Stanton of Kinston; his son Glenn Douglas Stanton of Dillon; his grandchildren, Brittni Stanton Welsh, Chelsie LeAnne Stanton of Florence and Grayson Cottingham of Florence; his great grandchild Tanner Douglas Welsh of Timmonsville; his siblings, John Wayne Stanton of Dillon, Faye S. Miller (Jack) and Patsy D. Stanton of Temperance Hill; and his sister-in-law Virgie Gandy Stanton of Raleigh. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
