With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Jerry David Henderson of Kinston, North Carolina, born in Rose Hill, North Carolina, who passed away on April 16, 2021 at the age of 80. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, John Bunyan and Inez Knowles Henderson; his brother Wade; and his sister-in-law Joanne Henderson. He is survived by: his pets, Millie and Baxter; his wife Donna Ebert Henderson; his children, David McNeill Henderson (Amy) of Raleigh and Megan Elizabeth Henderson of Charlotte; his grandson Jackson McNeill "Mac" Henderson; his stepgrandchildren, Cody and Maggie Walter-Welch; his brother JB Henderson; and his sisters-in-law, Irene Henderson of Wilmington, Betsy, Ford, Ellie and Carly Zimmerman. He is also survived by cousins, nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests memorials be made to the Lenoir County SPCA, designated for the new shelter building fund, 2455 Rouse Road Extension, Kinston, NC 28504.
