He was predeceased by: his parents, Jimmie Glenn Askew, Sr. and Anna Mae Joyner Askew; his wife Nancy Ann Barnett Askew; and his sister Judy Deeter. He is survived by: his children, Kimberly Askew Kelly (Shelton) of New Bern and Michael Glenn Askew (Melanie) of Garner; his grandchildren, Alex Askew, Caleb Askew, Noah Askew, Marisa Kelly and Kailyn Kelly; and his great grandchild Nathan Askew.
