She was predeceased by: her husband Carlton Douglas Rouse, Sr.; her parents, Walter Pate and Thelma Pate; her siblings, Lindley Hodges Pate, Walter Clark Pate, Jr. and Gwendolyn Pate Taylor; and her grandson Adam Blakeley Rouse.
She is survived by: her sons, Carlton Douglas Rouse, Jr. (Janet) and Kevin Scott Rouse (Fiona); and her grandchildren, Caitlin Rouse Eisinger, Jenna Rouse Payne, Alea Rouse, Douglas Clayburn Rouse and Saul Cothran. She is also survived by six great grandchildren; six nieces and nephews.
