With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Lenox Britt of Kinston, North Carolina, who passed away on October 13, 2020 at the age of 86. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Lacy Douglas Britt and Lena Lockey Britt of Lumberton; and his sisters, Rosa Lee Willoughby of Lumberton, NC. and Evelyn Coleman of Hampton Roads, VA.. He is survived by: his wife Nancy Burns Britt; his children, Emily Leigh Britt of Kinston, NC. and Lennox Gregory Britt (Paul) of Greenville, NC.; his grandchildren, Sarah Baker Dalrymple of Pottstown, PA. and Andrew Lenox Patterson of Raleigh, NC.; his nieces, Sybil Watson of Virginia, Shirley Campbell of Virginia and Jackie Knight of Virginia; and his nephew E. Paul Willoughby (Pat) of Myrtle Beach, SC..
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial contributions be made to the Lenoir County SPCA at 2455 Rouse Road, Kinston, NC 28504 or Friends of the Homeless Shelter at 112 N. Independence St., Kinston, NC 28501.
