He was predeceased by: his parent William L.; and his wife Melba Merritt Scott. He is survived by: his parent Ruby Mae Waller Scott; his daughters, Melissa Scott Padgett (Kendall) of Kinston, Melinda Scott Turner (Chris) of Kinston and Leslie Renee Scott of Kinston; and his grandchildren, Austin Reid Howard, Tanner Wade Scott, Lucas Shawn Scott, Jacob Daniel Scott, Nicholas Brett Turner, MacKenzie Lee Padgett, Megan Jessica Padgett and Christopher Shane Turner.
