She was loved and cherished by many people including: her children, Steven Hooks of Kinston, Lesia Goodson (Robin) of Waldorf, Sherrod Suggs of Boston, Tanya Yearwood of Kinston, Audrey Suggs-Chamblee (Lewis) of Kinston, Kristal Suggs and Nina Thomas (Allen) of Lexington; her grandchildren, Millie Hooks, Hattie Pearson Morris, Michael Hooks, Maurice Hooks, Latoya Seay (Julius), Stephen Graham, April Drake, Antoni Perry (Katrina), Shalandra Perry, Lakenia Suggs, Chereeka Suggs, Sherrod Suggs Jr., Breion Goodson, Brandon Hall, Joshua Goodson, Christopher Suggs and Kiana Nicole Suggs; her brother Shawn Howard; her aunt Evelyn Baker; her sister-in-law Edna Hooks; and her daughter-in-law Edwina Suggs. She was also cherished by nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
