She was predeceased by: her parents, Thurman Thompson and Carrie Thompson of Lenoir County; her husband Harold Hardy; and her great grandchild Staten Barwick. She is survived by: her daughter Carol Barwick of Kinston; her stepsons, James Hardy (Celeste) of Raleigh and Kenneth Hardy of Raleigh; her grandchildren, Kristen Stroud (Linnie Ray) of Kinston and Steve Barwick (Nikki) of Kinston; her stepgrandchildren, Ricky Hardy (Anna) and Constance Hardy; and her great grandchildren, Riley of Kinston, Hayden Stroud of Kinston and Kendall Barwick of Kinston.
Due to Covid the family request no visitation at the home.
