We are sad to announce that on September 4, 2021, at the age of 89, Mary Helen Thigpen (Kinston, North Carolina) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Colonel John H. Thigpen Jr.; her son David Brian Thigpen; her parents, David Talbot Watson and Helen Barksdale Watson; her siblings, David Watson, Paul Watson (Sue) and Thomas Watson (Ada); and her daughter-in-law Cheryl Thigpen.
She is survived by: her daughter Mary Kathryn Seymour; her grandchildren, Scott Thigpen (Allison), Sarah Begley (Ron), Brian Thigpen (Brittany), Tanya, Sean Thigpen and James McReynolds (Katie); and her sister-in-law Mary Watson. She is also survived by 10 greatgrandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Community Home Care & Hospice 115 Airport Road Kinston, NC.
