She is survived by: her husband Stephen James Jefferson of Kinston, NC; her children, Elizabeth Ackerman (Jay) of Bronxville, NY, Haynes Archie (Tom) of Darien, CT and Nathaniel Jefferson (Mariah) of Portland, ME.; and her grandchildren, James, Peter, Cooper Ackerman, Jack, Mae and Sadie Archie.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Mary Jo's name can be made to the Community Council for the Arts and the First Presbyterian Church in Kinston, NC.
