He was predeceased by: his parents, Roy Benjamin Tripp and Evelyn Earl Phillips Tripp; and his siblings, Phillip Tripp, Jerry Tripp, Dean Tripp and Lou Ellen Felton.
He is survived by: his wife Alice Tripp; his children, Allen Tripp, Jr. (Roxanne) of Ayden, Bobby Tripp (Jean) of Ayden, Kevin Tripp of Raleigh and Stacie Tripp Brown (Jonathan) of Kinston; his stepdaughters, Patricia Buck of Grifton and Diana Godwin Hales (Brad) of Clinton; and his nephew Phil Tripp of Grifton. He is also survived by 16 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.
