He was predeceased by: his parents, Charlie Thomas and Fleeta Stanley Thomas; his wife Christine Tucker Thomas; and his siblings, Bentley Thomas, Leo Thomas, Danny Thomas, Shirley Harris and Mary Buell.
He is survived by: his goddaughter Kimberly Dawson Kennedy (James) of Kinston; his siblings, Andrew Thomas of Kinston, Alice Trainer of Texas and Linda Stanley of Deep Run; and also, Jeromy Allen of Millbrook, Kyle Allen (Rebecca Webb) of Kinston and Sarah Kennedy of Kinston.
Memorials may be made to the charity of choice in lieu of flowers.
