She was predeceased by: her husband Oscar Norton; her former husband Jacob West, Jr.; and her brother Owen Fitzgerald, Jr.. She is survived by: her children, Leigh Fitzgerald West (Kimberly) of Kinston, Nancy Louise Barnum-Ross (Peter) of Pittsboro, Jacob West, III of Chapel Hill and Isabelle West Sanders (Steve) of Dover; her brother Kenneth Robert "Bob" Fitzgerald (Jan) of Ocala, FL; and her sister-in-law Mary Owens Fitzgerald of Raleigh. She is also survived by six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, Nancy requested that memorial contributions be made to Queen Street United Methodist Church, PO Box 508, Kinston, NC 28502.
