She was predeceased by: her parents, Hugh Waller and Lois Stafford Waller; her husband Leroy Smith; and her brother Hugh "Bud" Waller of LaGrange. She is survived by: her children, Dennis Smith (Janet) of Kinston, Debra Becton (Darrel) of Kinston and Rexford Smith (Vicky) of New Bern; her grandchildren, Brian Smith (Brittany), Holly Smith, Darren Becton (Misty Marston) and Dustin Becton (Bridgette); her siblings, Bill Waller (Kathy) of Snow Hill and Brenda Kelly of Goldsboro; Barbara Wilkes of Kinston. She is also survived by seven great-grandchildren.
