He was predeceased by: his parents, Evelyn Cherry and Ervin Cherry; and his brother Don Cherry. He is survived by: his wife Darlene Jenkins Cherry of Kinston; his children, Tammy C. Holt of Whitsett, NC and Rhenn Cherry (Terry) of Fort Worth, Texas; and his grandchildren, Harrison Holt of Raleigh, NC, Richard Holt of Boone, NC, Carly Cherry of Kaohsiung, Taiwan Cherry and Jack Cherry of College Station, Texas. He is also survived by three sisters-in-law; and many nieces and nephews.
