He was predeceased by: his son Henry Clay Spence. He is survived by: his wife Ann Taylor Spence; and his children, Rodney Keith Spence of Las Vegas, Jeanette Kennedy (Gary) of Deep Run and Annette Ipock (Doug) of Kinston. He is also survived by six grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
