She was predeceased by: her parents, John Kornegay and Neta Mills Kornegay; her siblings, Sybil Nobles, William E and John Robert Kornegay; and her son Dwight Kornegay.

She is survived by: her children, Katrenia Davis (Farnell) of Comfort, Sharon, Angela Kornegay and Roddy Kornegay (Doris) of Kinston; her granddaughter Toni Davis; and her siblings, Charlotte Kornegay of Kinston and Dalton Kornegay of Dorchester, MA.. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
