It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Thomas Kornegay (Kinston, North Carolina), who passed away on December 21, 2019, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. He is survived by: his wife Beatrice Kornegay; his children, Kenneth Kornegay of Charlotte, NC, Jessie Kornegay of Charlotte, NC, Lavett Kornegay of Raleigh, NC, Doris Kornegay Rankins of Greenville, NC and Miasha Chapman of Williamston, NC; and his siblings, Linwood Kornegay of Ahoskie, NC, Chester Kornegay of Plymouth, NC, George Kornegay of Raleigh, NC, Alice Roberson of Baltimore, MD, Patricia Rouse of Grifton, NC and Cora Rountree of Raleigh, NC. He is also survived by seven grandchildren, two great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
