He was predeceased by: his parents, Buddy Bunn and Ethel Ferguson Bunn; his wife Mary "Peggy" West Bunn; his children, Albert A. Bunn II and Doria Lynn Bunn; and his son-in-law Rex Johnson.
He is survived by: his children, Lonnie Wayne Bunn (Sandra) of Raleigh, Debora B. Wetherill (Eddie) of Raleigh and Susan B. Johnson of Zebulon; and his daughter-in-law Patricia Bunn of Wake Forest. He is also survived by nine grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren.
