She was predeceased by: her parents, Clayborne Hardy Mangum and Annie Bell Mangum; and her siblings, Frances Brown, Grace Dove, Marvin and Fred Mangum.

She is survived by: her husband Ivan Wesley Champion, Sr.; her children, Brenda C. Daniels (Lynn), Kimberly C. Hopewell (John) and Ivan Wesley Champion, Jr. (Chris); her grandchildren, Jason Daniels (Christina), Travis Daniels (Tristina), James Champion (Kayla), Rebekah Champion, Jarrett Hopewell, Blaik Hopewell, Sydney Hopewell and Samuel Champion; and her great grandchild Addison Daniels.
