She was predeceased by: her parents, Flora Leigh Johnson Gay and Leonard William Gay of Knightdale; her husband Samuel Arthur McDade; her son Samuel Kenneth McDade; and her siblings, Doris Evelyn Williams and Wyatt Gay.
She is survived by: her daughter Jeanette M. Robinson (Barry) of Christiansburg, VA; her brother Sherill Gay of Knightdale, NC; her daughter-in-law Debbie McDade of Wilmington, NC; her grandsons, Travis Grubb of Blacksburg, VA, Ryan McDade (Coy) and Eric McDade (Sarah) of Wilmington, NC; her great grandchildren, Wyatt, Waylon, Walker, Damien and Grady; and her stepgrandchildren, Crystal and Vince. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Flowers are welcomed or contributions may be made to Bethlehem Baptist Church in Betty's memory.
