He is survived by: his wife Kim Ward Holderfield; his son Jesse Warren Holderfield; his parents, Barbara Matthews Holderfield and David Franklin Holderfield; his sister Kim Holderfield Seibel; his brother-in-law Jimmy Seibel; and his niece Natalie Seibel Kaelin.

In lieu of flowers, donation may be made to the ASPCA of Wake County.
