She was loved and cherished by many people including: her children, Vickie Lewis Clay (David) of Wilmington, NC and Douglas "Doug" Lewis, Jr. of Tarboro, NC; her granddaughters, Hannah Hopkins (Lee) of Wendell, NC and Trinity Lewis of Holly Springs, NC; her great grandchildren, Eden and Eliza Hopkins; her parents, Joel Garner and Lula Garner; her sister Pansy G. Mitchell of Wendell, NC; her aunt Pansy; and her siblings, Willard, Joel Jr., John, Ben, Charles, Mary Bunch, Catherine Doan, Helen Davis, Laura Faye Wilder and Sue Strickland. She was also cherished by many nieces and nephews.
