He was predeceased by: his parents, Horace Stephens, Sr. and Betty Smith Stephens; his wife Mildred Perry Stephens; his daughter Shirley P. Brown; and his siblings, Horace Stephens, Jr. and Betsy Stephens Gay.
He is survived by: his son Ronald Edward Pearce (Carol) of Clayton; and his grandson Randy Edward Pearce (Melissa) of Zebulon.
