He was predeceased by: his grandson Timothy Benjamin Driver; and his sister Lula Ann Costin. He is survived by: his wife Louise Medlin Strickland; his children, Hubert Benjamin Strickland, Jr. (Amy) of Zebulon, Juanita Marrs (Alvin) of High Point and Windy Perry (Dwain) of Zebulon; his grandchildren, Kenneth Blake Collie, Jr. (Bri), Leslie Michelle Collie and Austin Ryan Driver; his great grandchild Heath Wilson Collie; and his siblings, Sidney Strickland (Nancy) of Henderson, Linda Allen (Clarence) of Wake Forest, Earlene Medlin of Zebulon, Betty Sue Smith of Louisburg, Connie Howard of Spring Hope and Marie Turnage (Dennis) of Zebulon.
