She was predeceased by: her parents, Edward Allen and Helen Mitchell Allen; and her brother Dan Allen. She is survived by: her children, Juan Avery (Gwendolyn), Cedric Palmer, Elliott Palmer (Jennifer), Nikki Palmer and Ursula Brown; and her siblings, Maxine Parkinson and Otis Allen.
