She was predeceased by: her parents, William Douglas Hocutt and Beulah Thorne Hocutt; her husband Elvin Mikkelsen Puryear; and her sister Ann Hocutt Boyette. She is survived by: her sons, Allen Puryear and Daryl Puryear (Kristy); her grandchildren, Allison Puryear, Sierra Puryear, Blake Pennington, Bayleigh Puryear and Bodie Puryear; and her sister Stella Reaid Boykin (Jesse).
