She was predeceased by: her parents, Carver Milton Gattis and Rita Ella Corbett Gattis; and her husband Charles Lewis Franks. She is survived by: her children, Charles M. Franks of Raleigh, John William Franks (Jennifer) of Warrenton and Susan Franks Basnight (Roger) of Williamston; her grandsons, Tony Basnight and Bob Basnight (Susan); and her great grandchild Lily Rose Basnight.
