She was predeceased by: her parents, Howard Ellington and Edna Paschal; her husband Ralph Matthews; and her brother Bud Ellington. She is survived by: her sons, Russell Eugene Brown (Becky), Bill Brown (Arren) and Dale Matthews (Ginger); her sisters, Virginia Garner and Betty Durham; her grandchildren, Kelly B. Dounoucos (Alex), Justin Brown, Brandon Matthews (Jessica), Cindy Hauer (Spencer) and Rachel Sherman (Alan); her great grandchildren, Kaylan Brown, Mason Sherman and Sara Sherman; her sister-in-law Sarah Ellington; and her close friend Jean Butts.
