He is survived by: his wife Elizabeth "Lib" Morgan Matthews; his children, Tamela "Tami" Matthews Hargrove (John) of Zebulon and Robert Bradley Matthews of Raleigh; his grandchildren, John Horton Hargrove and Matthew Charles Hargrove; his siblings, Jimmy Matthews (Raye) of Nashville, Patsy Griffin of Advance and Barbara Faulkner (Perry) of Louisburg; and his brother-in-law Marshall Baines of Nashville. He is also survived by aunts, uncles, nieces & nephews.
