It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Sonja Puckett Lohmar (Knightdale, North Carolina), who passed away on June 19, 2025, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Richard and Hazel Charlotte Bibb Puckett; her husband Frank (Marine); and her siblings, Charles, Cecil Everett, Don Puckett, Charlotte Puckett Bookman, Margaret Louise Puckett Beirne, Lois Puckett Tyree and Bettie Puckett Day.
She is survived by: her daughters, Kimberly Lohmar O'Daniel and Lisa Lohmar Sarotte (Randy); her grandchildren, Kayla O'Daniel, Shane O'Daniel, Brandon Lohmar, Justin Lohmar and Logan Sarotte; and her brother Melvin James Puckett (Jim). She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
A celebration of life was held on Tuesday, June 24th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the L. Harold Poole Funeral Service Chapel (944 Old Knight Rd, Knightdale, NC 27545). A graveside service was held on Wednesday, June 25th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Pine Forest Memorial Gardens (770 Stadium Dr, Wake Forest, NC 27587).
