Carolyn Fentress Austin Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Carolyn Fentress Austin (Knotts Island, North Carolina), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on November 1, 2025 at the age of 83. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, William Fentress and Adell Brumley Fentress; her son Daniel Spencer Austin (Marlith); and her siblings, Judy Jarman and Billy Fentress.
She is survived by: her husband Donald Spencer Austin; her daughter Wendy Dawn Burgett (Rocky); and her grandchildren, Kyle (Christy), Shane Burgett (Sara), Spencer and Mahalee Austin.
A funeral service will be held on Monday, November 24th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Knotts Island United Methodist Church (677 Knotts Island Rd, Knotts Island, NC 27950).
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Sue's name to Knotts Island United Methodist Church or Knotts Island Cemetery, 129 Wards Road, Knotts Island, NC 27950.
