He was predeceased by: his parents, Rufus Peede and Mary Silverthorne Dail; his son Robert Earl Peede, Jr. (Tiffany) of La Grange; and his brothers, Lawrence Peede and Wayne Peede.

He is survived by: his wife Virginia Peede; his daughter Robin Jean Shingleton; and his grandchildren, Bryan Shingleton, Timothy Shingleton, Brooks Shingleton, Logan Peede, Josh Shingleton, Connor Peede, Abbey Peede and Natalee Peede. He is also survived by six great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.
