Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Florence Powers of Warrensville, North Carolina, who passed away at the age of 88, on August 2, 2025. She was predeceased by: her parents, Glenn Barker and Eunice Yates Barker; and her siblings, Thomas, Jackson, John, Billy Joe Barker and Mary Lee Barker.
She is survived by: her husband Bob Powers; her sons, Allen Powers (Teresa) of Boone and Travis Powers (Kristi) of Creston; her grandchildren, Brittany Powers (Paul) of Boone, Kristin Powers Obiso (Matt) of Boone, Gabriel, Cooper and Autumn Powers of Creston; her great grandchildren, Fiona, Penelope, Florence Powers and Chloe Obiso of Boone; and her siblings, Benny Barker (Jeanette) of Warrensville, Polly Carpenter (Max) of Rotonda West, FL and Jane Holliday of Greenville, VA.. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 6th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Ashelawn Memorial Chapel (3470 U. S. Hwy 221 N, Crumpler, NC 28617). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, August 6th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
