He was predeceased by : his parents, Henry Lawrence Norton and Maude Bullard Norton; his daughter Clara Norton; and his siblings, Armand Norton, Alton Norton, Marshall Norton, Teab Norton, Baxter Norton, Ervin Norton, Emma High Carter, Mary Langley and Betty Williams.
He is survived by : his wife Ida English Norton; his children, Danny Norton (Dorothy) of Laurel Hill, Larry Norton (Cathy) of McColl, SC, Teddy Norton (Pat) of Laurinburg, Patsy Coates (Ricky) of Laurinburg, Kathy Stanley (Billy) of Laurinburg, Phyllis Walters (Jerry) of Laurinburg and Goldie Cheek (David) of Aberdeen; his sisters, Jeanette Sessoms of Laurel Hill and Laurine Howie of Charlotte; and his close friend Blackie. He is also survived by seventeen grandchildren, forty-one great grandchildren, twenty-seven great-great grandchildren.
