He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Mack Smith and Etta Quick Smith; his wife Sybil Guy Smith; his son Guy William Smith; and his sisters, Catherine Ellis and Betty Kersey.
He is survived by: his son Albert "Pudgy" W. Smith of Laurinburg; his grandchildren, Melissa Smith, Donald Albert Smith, Ronald Patrick Smith (Crystal), Tabitha McAlister (Larry), Chelsi Smith (Luis) and Kaitlin Smith; and his close friend Gracie. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and many friends.
