He was predeceased by: his parents, Lyon Snead and Annie Parrish Snead; his siblings, Julia Chisholm, Jesse Snead, Louise Odom, Ruby Pate, Grace Riggan, Bernice Snead, Edwin Snead (Buddy), Katie Dees, Lyon Snead Jr. and Marie Gilmore Hayes; and his grandson Timothy Lamm.
He is survived by: his wife Verna Snead; his children, Stephen Snead (Vickie) and Sandra Lamm (Kenny); his grandchildren, Kevin Lamm (Zion), Katie Beekman (Jonathan) and Rebecca Snead; and his great grandchildren, Raelyn Beekman and Zoe Lamm. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
The family requests that memorial donations be made in his memory to New Hope Baptist Church, 11480 Hasty Road, Laurinburg, NC 28352.
