She was predeceased by: her parents, James Williams and Inez Bolton Mathews; her husband Rev. Robert Aaron Starner; her granddaughter Gabrielle Pruitte; and her sisters, Delores Whitley and Patricia C. Chavis.
She is survived by: her children, James Kenneth "Ken" Pruitte (Shirl) of Laurel Hill, Christopher Blake "Chris" Pruitte (Carol) of Laurel Hill and Paula Pruitte Fairley of Parkton; her sister Vickie Rice of Southern Pines; her grandchildren, Austin Pruitte (Thomas), Faith Pruitte, James Kenneth Pruitte, Jr., Christopher Blake Pruitte, Jr. (Nikki), Nicholas Pruitte, Erin Pruitte, Elijah Pruitte, Chelsea Fairley and Ed Fairley (Madisun); her great grandchildren, Kameron Locklear, Abbi Locklear, Ariya Wallace, Karah Ann Wallace, Jayden Henderson, Emilee Dickerson, Ezra Fairley, Axton Fairley, Jakai of Washington, Alexander Zamarano and Gianluca Zamarano; and her close friends, Jean, Clyde Daniels and Ruth Ward. She is also survived by loving nieces, nephews, and many friends.
