It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Charles Byrd Jr. (Laurinburg, North Carolina), who passed away on September 24, 2021, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Eugene Byrd and Evelyn Norris Byrd; his wife Eloise Reece Byrd; his daughter Linda Byrd O'Dell; his great grandchild Jeremy Ward; and his siblings, Larry Byrd, Dean Byrd, Ralph Byrd and Jeanette Shutt.
He is survived by: his daughters, Brenda Joyce Byrd of Laurinburg, Deborah Dinius of Whispering Pines and Vicky Lynn Byrd of Laurinburg; his siblings, Mike Byrd of Laurel Hill, Jim Byrd of Laurinburg, Woody Byrd of Laurinburg, Frankie Byrd of Jacksonville, FL, Brenda Karneckis of Hamlet, Ann Brooks of Rockingham, Judy Barcome of Hamlet and Lorraine Latham of Topeka, KS; and his grandchildren, Chuck Dinius, Kim Dinius, Tim O'Dell and Josh Owens. He is also survived by fourteen great grandchildren, along with a host of nieces, nephews, and many friends.
Due to the current pandemic status, COVID-19 restrictions require facial masks, social distancing, and limited attendance for all services.
