Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Charles Jenkins (Laurinburg, North Carolina), born in Rockingham, North Carolina, who passed away at the age of 76, on August 27, 2021. Due to the pandemic, a private visitation for family and invited guests will be held, 5:00-7:00 p. m., on Thursday, September 2, at Richard Boles Funeral Service Chapel.

“I loved, respected, and was so proud of my cousin, Charles. He was Aunt Annie’s, my grandmother. Laura’s sister’s, , grandson. We had much in common: mill hill boys, football, Rohanen, teachers, Provosts, and presidents. He spoke at my inauguration as President of Campbell University. Charles was a servant leader who was totally engaged in every cause he served. Because Charles proved to be a Good Samaratin Neighbor, I know God smiled upon him and welcomed him home.
