He is survived by: his wife Deavie L. Strickland; his children, Don A Strickland of Hasty and Donna Frances Chavis (Lee) of Laurinburg; his grandson Nicholas Chavis of Raleigh; his brothers, Miller Strickland (Geraldine) of Bennettsville, SC, Bracy Strickland (Velma) of Laurinburg and Tracy Strickland of Laurinburg; and also Thomas Locklear of Laurinburg.
